The nursery is open 50 weeks a year from 7:30am – 6pm. It is shut for 2 weeks over Christmas. We offer a range of sessions so parents can choose a combination of sessions that best suits their family’s circumstances.
Sessions
Full day | 8am – 6pm |
School day | 8am – 3.15pm |
Half day | 8am – 1pm |
Short afternoon | 1pm – 3.30pm |
Early Bird | 7:30am – 8am |
*For those requiring an early start we have a limited number of Early Bird sessions which can be added to any of the sessions starting at 8am.
A service is provided and fees are payable for 50 weeks of the year. Fees are paid monthly in advance by standing order. The nursery is happy to receive childcare vouchers as part or full payment of fees. Please contact us for details of the cost of sessions.
Funded sessions
The Village Nursery works in partnership with Scottish Borders Council to provide funded pre-school education for children in their pre-school year and the year before the pre-school year (ante pre-school). Parents wishing to take just the funded sessions can use the short afternoon sessions (1pm – 3.30pm) during term time. From August 2014 this will extend to 48 weeks of the year as the government increases funding to 600 hours a year. Alternatively parents can use the funding as part of a longer session, 50 weeks of the year. In this case the funding is taken off their monthly bill. If parents wish, they can do a combination of the two.
Wraparound service
We provide a wraparound service to West Linton Primary School afternoon pre-school, taking children up to the school nursery for the start of the session and collecting them at the end. Please contact us if you would like more information on this service.
